Annual Campaigns
MAZON welcomes the support of concerned and committed individuals throughout the year. But its fundraising takes on particular urgency during the Jewish High Holy Days and Passover.

These holidays offer unique opportunities for the Jewish community to come together and speak with one voice against hunger and poverty.

HIGH HOLY DAYS

Our Jewish tradition impels us to set aside “the corners of our fields” for the poor and the stranger, so that they might share in the bounty of our harvest.

Jews continue to give life to this tradition by supporting “The Corners Of Our Fields,” a High Holy Days appeal that seeks funds for MAZON and food for local charities. Each year, synagogues, community centers, havurahs and individual donors join with MAZON in this extraordinary act of Jewish pluralism.

PASSOVER
During Passover, as we celebrate our liberation from Egyptian slavery, we know that freedom is not enjoyed as a universal right. All around the world, men, women and children face the oppression of hunger and the slavery of hopelessness it creates.

Every year during its Passover appeal, MAZON asks rabbis, cantors, and synagogue social action committees to encourage their congregants to fight hunger. They do this by urging people to heed the message of the Passover seder: “Let all who are hungry come and eat.”
