Historically, rabbis did not allow celebrations
to begin until the community’s poor were
seated and fed. Today, Jews symbolically observe
this tradition by donating 3% of the cost of lifecycle
celebrations – weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs,
anniversaries and other joyous occasions –
to MAZON.
Many MAZON donors join our 3%
Circle.
Bar/bat mitzvahs
share their simchas with MAZON.
Across the country, brides and grooms invite MAZON
to participate in their wedding
celebrations.
Supporters include MAZON in their observance of
both Jewish
and secular holidays.
MAZON donors often choose to make contributions
in honor of birthday celebrations.
Many supporters honor the memory of friends and
loved ones by making memorial
contributions to MAZON.
